About For-The-Troops

The goal of this site is to thank former/past, current, & future servicemen and women for their contributions to this great country of ours.  By reading their stories posted here we will celebrate their service to our country, and some will be to honor their ultimate sacrifice.

I initially created this site to honor my brother-in-law who is now in his sophomore year at the Naval Academy in Annapolis.  This site was also built to pay undying gratitude and thanks to my father, Wolfgang, who at nineteen came to this country and was drafted and served America proudly. The kicker is, he wasn’t even a citizen yet!

Ten percent (10%) of all after-tax revenue generated from this site (as well as my nearly 1300 other sites) will be sent to V.A. (Veteran’s Administration) hospitals, the USO (the are banners where you can buy phone cards for loved ones), the Vet Foundation, and others.  That’s not even mentioning the donations that you can make directly to charities I have posted: USO, V.E.T. Foundation, etc.

If you have moved on to civilian life and want to let readers know what you are up these days, submit a link to your website at the bottom of your blog post and we would be happy to promote your venture.

P.S. I want all visitors to this site to know about me as well.  I am civilian that feels the need to thank you- the men & women of our Armed Forces.  As a volunteer military, you are truly deserved of thanks & gratitude.
